Mumbai Indians' all-rounder Hardik Pandya recently took social media by storm by flaunting a custom-made "World Champion" ring, a tribute to his recent T20 World Cup victory with India. The extravagant ring features the T20 World Cup trophy engraved in the center, with "World Champion" inscribed on the outer band.
Pandya's gesture comes as a celebration of India's thrilling T20 World Cup win over South Africa earlier this year, where his heroics in the final over sealed the victory. The 31-year-old played a vital role throughout the tournament, amassing 144 runs at a strike rate of 151.57.

He also took 11 wickets with an economy rate of 7.64. His efforts were critical, especially in the nail-biting final where he defended 16 runs in the last over, proving his mettle under pressure. He faced a lot of criticism during the IPL 2024 season as Mumbai Indians' newly appointed captain.
However, his redemption arc in the T20 World Cup silenced doubters and established him as a key figure in India's title-winning campaign. Following the World Cup win, Mumbai Indians retained Pandya for the 2025 IPL season with an INR 16.35 crore contract.
Alongside him, the franchise retained key players Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma, preserving their core lineup. Addressing his retention, Pandya shared his excitement about continuing with MI.
He said, "Playing for MI has been fantastic. I've received a lot of love back there, and it means the world to me. My journey started here, and everything I've achieved is tied to Mumbai Indians."
Expressing unity with his retained teammates, Pandya emphasized their camaraderie and determination for the upcoming season. "We are one. We are five fingers but one fist," he said, reflecting on their shared goals and commitment to reclaiming the IPL title.
While Pandya's career has been thriving in the white-ball format, a return to red-ball cricket remains uncertain due to ongoing fitness concerns. His Test absence continues as he prioritizes limited-overs cricket, allowing emerging players like Nitish Reddy to step into India's Test squad.
