Hardik Pandya Heartwarming Moment of Clicking Selfie with Ball Boy Mid-Match Goes Viral

By MyKhel Staff

India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya stole the show during the India vs Bangladesh T20I with a touching moment off the field. During the third and final T20I at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Pandya obliged a young ball boy's request for a selfie mid-match, a gesture that quickly went viral.

India had posted a colossal total of 297/6 in their 20 overs, setting the stage for a dominant performance. Pandya, positioned near the boundary rope during Bangladesh's innings, was approached by the ball boy for a picture.

Despite being in the middle of the match, Pandya paused to help the young fan, even guiding him to successfully take the selfie after a failed first attempt. The heartwarming moment, captured on video, quickly made waves on social media, earning Pandya widespread praise.

Pandya's kindness stood out amid a stellar individual performance in the series. He was named Player of the Series for his contributions, which included 118 runs, one wicket, and five catches. His all-round efforts were instrumental in India's 133-run victory over Bangladesh, which secured a 3-0 series sweep.

After the match, Pandya reflected on the freedom given to him by India's captain, Suryakumar Yadav, and head coach, Gautam Gambhir. He credited the duo for creating a positive and supportive team environment. "The kind of freedom the skipper and coach have given is fantastic for the whole group." Pandya said.

He added, "At the end of the day, if you can enjoy the sport, you can get the maximum out of yourself,". He also highlighted the importance of the team enjoying each other's success, which, according to him, motivates the players to perform even better.

On his fitness, Pandya, who recently returned to action, expressed his satisfaction. "My body has been fantastic, God has been kind to always come up and help me out. The process continues, nothing changes," he added.

Pandya's on-field performance has been earning him accolades but this off-field gesture reminded fans of his humility and won their hearts. As India celebrated another dominant series win, this selfie moment especially stood out in the game.
