Virender Sehwag revealed his India playing eleven for the T20 World Cup 2024, and dropped Hardik Pandya from it. Rajasthan Royals pacer Sandeep Sharma has found a place in Sehwag's India Playing 11 for T20 World Cup 2024.

The former opener was asked on 'Club Prairie Fire' podcast to pick the India eleven for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which starts from June 2. Sehwag selected Yashasvi Jaiswal over Shubman Gill to open the innings alongside captain Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli found a place at three in Sehwag's India playing eleven, and Suryakumar Yadav got a mention too. Sehwag, who is part of the JioCinema commentary panel for IPL 2024, said he would pick one between Rinku Sigh and Shivam Dube in the eleven.

Several wicketkeeper-batters are in the hunt for a spot in India's T20 World Cup squad. The likes of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson are giving it their all to get a berth in the 15-member squad to be announced by the end of April, as per reports.

Virender Sehwag made his choice clear and picked Rishabh Pant for the role in the India playing eleven for T20 World Cup 2024. Further, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Sandeep Sharma found places as the three specialist pacers. Sandeep returned from injury and picked five wickets against Mumbai Indians on Monday.
