Hardik Pandya on Monday (July 15) received a grand welcome at his hometown in Vadodra, where the star India all-rounder held a road show to celebrate the T20 World Cup win.
Pandya silenced many critics with a starring performance at the show-piece tournament, including a splendid death bowling display in the final when India pulled off victory from jaws of defeat against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29.

In the T20 World Cup, Pandya scored 144 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 151.57, with a half-century and also took 11 wickets in eight games at an average of 17.36 and an economy rate of 7.64, with the best figures of 3/20, which came in the final.
The celebrations for the T20 World Cup triumph started from the moment India clinched the title, ending a 13-year wait to win a World Cup and 17-year wait to lift the second T20 World Cup trophy, and it doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon.
The Indian cricket team had a parade in Mumbai earlier this month and the celebrations continued across the country, which has starved of a World Cup win. This could all have been planned last year when India came as close as the final, but finished runners up in the ODI World Cup.
During the roadshow in Vadodra, thousands of fans gathered on the streets to give Hardik a cordial welcome in his hometown with his brother Krunal Pandya also present on the scene.

The Vadodara Police Commissioner had issued an advisor regarding traffic regulations during the road show honoring cricketer Hardik and his family for India's T20 World Cup victory.
The roadshow commenced in Mandvi and passed through Lehripura Darwaja, Nyay Mandir, Fire Brigade Char Rasta, Dandiya Bajar Char Rasta, Maharani Nursing Home Char Rasta, and conclude at Akrota Bridge Solar Panel.
Vadodara Police had enforced these traffic regulations to ensure smooth flow and to minimize inconvenience to commuters due to the expected high turnout as fans waited to wish the all-rounder for bringing the cup home.
The Indian cricketer could have had this roadshow earlier, but was busy attending the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding celebrations in Mumbai from the past week. He, however, finally landed in his hometown after nearly two weeks after the T20 World Cup win.
The likes of Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh also had their own road shows just a few days after the Mumbai parade and felicitation ceremony. While Siraj had a heroes welcome in Hyderabad, Arshdeep was welcomed home by Punjab Kings in Chandigarh.
