Hardik Pandya has taken to social media to remember the auspicious day of India's T20 World Cup win from 2024.
The India all-rounder took to his social media account and posted a video, with the caption writing, "A day I'll never forget. A day we'll never forget. For all of us, India."

On June 29, 2024, India, led by Rohit Sharma, won the T20 World Cup in Barbados, defeating South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final at Kensington Oval, ending an 11-year ICC trophy drought and securing their second T20 World Cup title.
India posted 176/7, powered by Virat Kohli's 76 and Axar Patel's 47. South Africa's chase was dominated by Heinrich Klaasen's 52, bringing them to 161/6, needing 26 runs off the last four overs with six wickets in hand. However, India's bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah (2/18), Arshdeep Singh (2/20), and Hardik Pandya, staged a remarkable comeback. Pandya's pivotal 17th over dismissed Klaasen with a deceptive wide cutter, and he bowled the tense final over, defending 16 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav's acrobatic boundary catch to dismiss David Miller sealed the victory. India's unbeaten campaign included key wins over Australia, Pakistan, and England in the semifinals, showcasing disciplined bowling, explosive batting, and sharp fielding.
Hardik Pandya, India's vice-captain and all-rounder, played a crucial role, scoring 144 runs at a strike rate of 150 and taking 11 wickets, including three in the final. His composure under pressure, especially in the final over, was instrumental in India's triumph. Pandya's performance was a redemption arc after a tough IPL 2024 season, where he faced relentless booing as Mumbai Indians' captain, finishing last with 216 runs and 11 wickets.
Post-victory, Pandya's emotional response resonated widely, as he broke down in tears, reflecting on the unfair criticism he endured. Fans, who once booed him, celebrated his heroics during India's victory parade in Mumbai. His performance earned him the top T20I all-rounder ranking.
