Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya had a heated exchange with former teammate and Gujarat Titans spinner R Sai Kishore during the GT vs MI IPL 2025 clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday (March 29).
The exchange started with a staredown and later saw Hardik even swearing at the GT spinner. The MI skipper apparently told Sai Kishore to f*** off!. Nothing was caught on the stump mic, but lip-readers would know what exactly was said.

The incident happened during the 15th over of Mumbai Indians' chase when Sai Kishore bowled three dot balls to Hardik. The situation escalated as both players engaged in a staredown at the centre of the pitch, requiring umpire intervention. Watch the video here:

The pair, however, seemed in good spirits after the match as Hardik and Sai Kishore shared an embrace. During the post-match handshake, sharing a hug and laughing off the incident. Watch the video here:
After the two players seemed to have settled the heat, Sai Kishore was asked about the incident by commentator Ian Bishop, who asked, "No love lost with Hardik?". The spinner replied, "He's a good friend of mine, inside the field it should be like that."
"Inside the field, anybody is an opponent, but we don't take things personally. We are good competitors. That's how I think the game should be," he added after delivering a solid performance in GT's win.
Sai Kishore finished with figures of 1 for 37 in his four-over spell and claimed the important dismissal of Tilak Varma, while pace duo of Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj led the bowling charge to restrict Mumbai Indians to 160 in their allotted 20 overs.
Earlier, B Sai Sudharsan top scored for his team as GT set a target of 197 for MI in Ahmedabad. But the rising Indian batter suffered an injury and was forced off the field during MI's run chase.
