India women captain Harmanpreet Kaur has opened up on a sport different from cricket that has played a crucial role in her career.
Health is wealth - and daily exercise and an apt amount of physical work is a massive boon for health. An athlete is required to be fit every day, and almost all fitness programme have a simple building block - that is cardio exercises.

Cardio exercises help to lower the blood sugar level, and lowers chances of Hypertension and other heart-related ailments. Walking and Running are the main cardio exercises, although there are many other exercises. Running is vital for life, a belief championed by PUMA ambassadors, Harmanpreet Kaur, Indian cricket team captain, and Sarabjot Singh, Olympic bronze medallist.
The two sports icons fronted a colourful march for the launch the new Race Day Tee (RDT) for Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM), which is designed by Puma India.
In the programme, Harmanpreet Kaur opened up on the importance of running and spoke about how that has shaped her career.
"Running is the simplest yet the most powerful form of exercise. It has played a critical role in my sporting career, building both physical endurance and mental resilience. Leading this colourful march today in the capital to launch the new PUMA Race Day Tee for Vedanta DelhiHalf Marathon is my way of sharing our love for running," Harmanpreet Kaur said at the event on Tuesday (August 27).
The India batter is an avid fitness concern and has showcased her class with the bat and on the field. Harmanpreet Kaur is also going to lead the Indian women's cricket team in the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup this year, which was shifted to UAE from Bangladesh amid unrest in Dhaka and other places.
