Harmanpreet Kaur Scripts History As First Cricketer To Reach 200 T20Is
Harmanpreet Kaur added another landmark to Indian cricket history by becoming the first cricketer, male or female, to play 200 T20 Internationals. The India captain reached the milestone during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against South Africa at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
The achievement places Harmanpreet ahead of some of the most experienced names in world cricket. Her 200th T20I is not just an Indian record, but a global first across men’s and women’s cricket. No player before her had reached the 200-match mark in the shortest international format.

The milestone also comes at an important stage of India’s T20 World Cup campaign. India entered the South Africa match with back-to-back wins over Pakistan and the Netherlands, giving them a strong chance to push closer to the semi-finals.
