Omaxe announced a new honour for Harmanpreet Kaur in New Delhi on 25 March 2026. A key stand at the cricket stadium in The Omaxe State, Dwarka, will carry her name. She is the captain of the Indian Women's Cricket Team.
The Harmanpreet Kaur Stand, also called the Pink Stand, will sit in the North Pavilion Lower Bowl. It will have over 1,500 seats with a close, raised view of play. These are among the best viewing areas in the 30,000-seat stadium.

The stadium is the main feature of The Omaxe State, an integrated sports and lifestyle project in Dwarka Sector 19B. The site spans more than 50 acres with an investment of about ₹2,500 crore. The project is being developed with the DDA.
The Omaxe State is projected as India's first 5-in-1 destination. It will bring together sports, retail, hospitality, food, and social spaces in one master plan. Omaxe wants the complex to serve as a major draw for the National Capital Region.
In a first move for Indian cricket, the Harmanpreet Kaur Stand will include a special Pink Stand zone for women and families. Omaxe aims to make stadium visits safer and more inclusive. The concept was shaped with inputs from Harmanpreet Kaur.
Harmanpreet Kaur became Omaxe's brand ambassador before India's ICC Women's World Cup win in 2025. The naming of the stand links that title to the venue's identity. She is now the first woman cricketer in India with two stadium stands in her name.
At the site press conference, Harmanpreet Kaur, Mohit Goel, and Avneet Soni were present. Mohit Goel is MD, Omaxe Ltd. Avneet Soni is Business Head, Omaxe. The event shared design details and the vision for the wider complex.
Harmanpreet Kaur said the stand naming felt "truly special" for her. She thanked Omaxe for the honour and for involving her in planning. She stressed the need for inclusive facilities for women. She hoped the stadium would inspire young athletes to follow sport.
Mohit Goel said Harmanpreet's story showed discipline, resilience, and leadership. He noted Omaxe signed her before the World Cup as they trusted her values. He confirmed the Pink Stand will have capacity for more than 1,500 spectators, focused on women.
He added that Harmanpreet helped highlight gaps in Indian stadium facilities. This includes the need for separate spaces for women athletes. Goel said Omaxe aims for global design standards across the stadium, hotel, commercial spaces, and support areas at The Omaxe State.
The stadium is planned with India's long-term sporting goals in mind. Goel said the design looked at hosting events like the Olympics, FIFA tournaments, the Paralympics, and the Commonwealth Games. The venue will follow international norms for player and fan facilities.
Omaxe has engaged over 25 national and international consultants on the project. Bentel Associates International will handle architecture and interiors for the commercial, hotel, and club sections. The firm has more than six decades of global experience in such work.
Bentel will design what Omaxe calls India's first fully air-conditioned retail high street. The plan includes the five-star Gateway Hotel by IHCL. It also covers a membership-based sports club. Omaxe has brought in wind and security consultants to support safety and comfort.
The stadium will feature dedicated dressing rooms, washrooms, and support areas for women and para-athletes. An infinity pool will overlook the field. There will be café spaces, co-working zones, and dormitories for student players taking part in competitions at the venue.
Omaxe is introducing quick-dry technology for the playing field. This aims to cut downtime after rain, especially in the monsoon season. The goal is to resume play faster and keep conditions reliable for domestic and international games.
The wider Omaxe State is planned as a year-round sports and lifestyle hub. Sport, retail, hospitality, and public spaces are designed to work together. The approved project includes a 55,000 sq.mt. stadium block and a 30,000 sq.mt. indoor-outdoor sports centre.
The indoor arena will support basketball, badminton, volleyball, gymnastics, and esports. It will also host international concerts and community events. High-performance training courts and premium hospitality suites are part of the plan, targeting both elite sport and public use.
The retail area will span over 48,000 sq.mt. It will feature high-street shops, anchor stores, a multiplex, and food and beverage outlets. The hospitality district will house a 158-key five-star Gateway Hotel by IHCL, with 40 stadium-view suites.
The hotel will include banquet halls, wellness facilities, and a membership-based sports club for around 3,000 members. An underground tunnel will connect the hotel directly to the stadium. This will allow secure movement for players and dignitaries during major events.
The project will use AI-driven smart gates and security systems. These tools are meant to manage large crowds more efficiently. Plans include 11 dedicated entry and exit points. Separate drop-off systems are planned for cars, cabs, autos, and metro feeder services.
The Omaxe State is branded as "Delhi's Own Stadium." Omaxe wants it to be a venue the city can identify with and visit often. The development is aligned with international standards but will serve local fans and everyday users in the capital region.
Omaxe Ltd. was established in 1987 and is listed on the NSE and BSE. By 2007, it had delivered about 140.17 million sq.ft. of real estate across 31 cities in eight states. Its portfolio includes residential, commercial, and integrated townships.
The company has led projects such as Omaxe New Chandigarh Township, World Street in Faridabad, Omaxe Chowk in Delhi's Chandni Chowk, and Royal Residency in Ludhiana. The Omaxe State in Dwarka continues this focus on mixed-use, sports, retail, hospitality, and entertainment development.
Omaxe has built a large land bank and uses varied design ideas. It has drawn a base of customers and investors over three decades. The firm states it aims to deliver high-quality developments that match the needs of urban India.
