For the unversed, his father by the name of RP Singh Senior, was a notable figure in Indian cricket during the '80s. RP Singh Senior who operated as a left-arm fast bowler, made two ODI appearances for India against Australia in 1986. On the other hand, he had a respectable domestic career.
Over the course of his venture, he has featured in 59 first-class matches, accounting for 150 dismissals and scoring 1,413 runs. His final domestic appearance came in the Duleep Trophy in 1991, where he represented Central Zone against North Zone.
After calling it quits from professional cricket, RP Singh Senior ventured into coaching and shifted his base to England in the late 1990s. He has since been closely associated with Lancashire County Cricket Club and the England and Wales Cricket Board.
In the same way, Harry Singh is now following in his father’s footsteps, making his own mark in the cricketing chapter.
