Team India are set to lock horns with the Bangladesh cricket team in the Test opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on September 19, Thursday. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina pitched in with a bowling strategy that India should use against the Tigers for the Test battle.
Raina who played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is for the country, has backed India to go with spin-heavy tactic. While addressing the reporters at a recent event in the national capital for the third season of the Legends League Cricket (LLC), Raina opened up on India's potential game plan and recommended for a spin-dominant attack.

The 37-year-old who is a big name in the Legends League Cricket (LCC) has urged the Indian cricket team to go with three spinners and two pacers. Reporter asked Raina, "Should India go with three spinners?".
To which, the elegant southpaw replied, "It depends on the wicket. Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja are definitely going to be there. Then they have a very good fast bowling attack in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Kuldeep is going to be a surprise package."
For the record, Kuldeep Yadav made just a solitary appearance against Bangladesh in Tests wherein he took 8 wickets including a fifer. Ravi Ashwin is the leading Test wicket-taker against Bangladesh among the active Indian bowlers.
The Tamil Nadu-born accounted for 23 dismissals in 6 Tests, including a five-wicket haul and is nine wickets away from becoming India's leading wicket-taker against Bangladesh.
On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja has taken 6 wickets in 3 Tests against the Tigers so far. It is highly likely that India will go with three spinners and two pacers for the Chepauk Test which would play a part in dictating the flow of the match. With a balanced mix of spin and pace, the Indian team is likely to keep Bangladesh on their toes.
