Former West Indies cricketer Dwayne Smith recently shared his thoughts on playing alongside cricketing greats, including the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in the International Masters League.
Smith, who has represented the likes of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, spoke highly about the Indian great. Smith is playing for West Indies Masters in the IML 2025, which has other stars like Chris Gayle and Brian Lara.

Smith had the privilege of opening alongside Sachin Tendulkar during his time in Mumbai and spoke highly of the Indian maestro's influence.
"When I was at Mumbai, I always used to try and stick around him. Because when I was opening with him, I always wanted to know the person that I'm playing with and whom I going out there with. So I always just stick with him and ask him some questions and stuff," he said.
Tendulkar's willingness to share his knowledge made a lasting impact, and the former West Indies all-rounder was in awe of the legend's preparation before a match.
"He's been very accommodating. He's been very, very, very good with, with the guys around as well too. So he's always sharing his knowledge and you could see why he was so great because of how he used to prepare for his cricket," Smith said.
Reflecting on his current tournament run, Smith expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, as West Indies have won their first two matches.
"It's been very good so far. We got started the tournament with two wins, so two from two is very good. I'm sure the guys are upbeat. We have our skipper[Brian Lara] joining us back again for this game, so should be some exciting cricket going on forward," the former CSK player added.
