Hero Honda to be title sponsor for India-Sri Lanka ODI series
New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Hero Honda Motors will be the title sponsor for the forthcoming ODI series between India and Sri Lanka starting with a day-night match in Kolkata on February 8.
The Hero Honda Cup will see the two sub-continental cricketing giants, India and Sri Lanka, take on each other in the four-match series as a build-up to the much awaited ICC World Cup 2007 in West Indies.
The series assumes tremendous importance as the selectors will zero in on the final 15 for the World Cup squad after first two matches at kolkata and Rajkot.
Trying to cash in on the rising World Cup fever, Anil Dua, Vice President (Marketing&Sales), Hero Honda Motors Ltd, said in a release, ''The Hero Honda Cup is a unique opportunity for Indian cricket lovers to cheer their national team and wish them all the best before they go into the eagerly awaited ICC World Cup.
