Punjab Kings have scripted history with a historic chase of 265 runs in their IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday (April 25).

Shreyas Iyer and his boys chased an improbable target at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, thus rewriting history on the night.

Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya gave them the perfect start. The former scored 76 off just 26 balls as PBKS posted 116 in the powerplay. Captain Shreyas Iyer took over the reins and completed the chase in a canter. A mammoth score of 264 runs was achieved with balls to spare, thus putting PBKS at the pinnacle of run chases again, as they toppled their own history. The Kings won the match by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare.

In the second match of the night, SRH went on to add to the tally as they chased Rajasthan Royals' 228 runs in Jaipur. Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma played two excellent knocks as they won the match with 9 balls to spare.
