Australia ended rain-hit day 4 of the fifth Ashes 2023 Test in the driver's seat, having reached 135/0 before rain washed out two sessions at the Oval in London on Sunday (July 30).
David Warner (58*) and Usman Khawaja (69*) remained unbeaten to take Australia within 249 runs of completing a record chase and winning the final Ashes 2023 Test on Monday (July 31).

On day 5 of the final Ashes Test, the opening duo will need to carry on from where they left off and at least help their side avoid defeat, which assures them of a first Ashes series win in England since 2001, having already taken 2-1 unassailable lead in the series.
However, Australia will hope to pull off a historic run chase, while England will aim for 10 wickets to level the series and finish on a high, having missed out on a possible win last week in Manchester.
