After 18 days and 15 matches, the Champions Trophy 2025, which was held across four venues in Pakistan and UAE, came to conclusion on Sunday (March 9) with India beating New Zealand in the final to clinch the trophy.
The eight-team tournament, which made it's return after a eight-year hiatus, saw several records being shattered as some players also reached milestones in the ICC event. While matches in Pakistan delivered high-scoring matches, the games in Dubai witnessed some tough contest between bat and ball.

The Champions Trophy 2025 opener started off what ended up breaking the record and a half as New Zealand duo Will Young and Tom Latham's centuries against Pakistan in Karachi, was the first of many hundreds scored in the tournament.
The third match of the tournament ended as the record-breaking night as England's Ben Duckett scored the highest individual score, but his performance was overshadowed by a quickfire hundred by Australia's Josh Inglis.
The tournament on the whole witnessed many records being broken and several milestones being reached. Here is a look at some of the standout performances in the Champions Trophy 2025:
England first broke the record by setting a total of 351/8 in their alloted 50 overs, but that record was breached in the same match as Australia scored 356/5 in 47.3 overs to pull off a stunning win in the third match of Champions Trophy 2025.
Australia held the record until the semi-final, when New Zealand scored highest team score with 362/6 vs South Africa to set a new record. Before the 2025 edition, the highest total record belonged to New Zealand, who scored 347 against USA in the 2004 edition.
Australia pulled off the highest successful run-chase in Champions Trophy history when they chased down 352 with 15 balls to spare and five wickets in hand. The match also witnessed two other records being smashed, but were later broken again in the tournament. The previous record was 322 runs chased down by Sri Lanka against England in 2017.
England opener Ben Duckett broke the record, becoming the first player to score 150 plus in the tournament history with a 143-ball 165 against Australia. But that record lasted only for three day as Afghanistan's history-maker Ibrahim Zadran.
Ibrahim Zadran, who became Afghanistan's maiden century-scorer in Champions Trophy, set a new high with 177 off 146 balls, the highest individual score in the tournament history, during the group stage match against England. Former New Zealand opener Nathan Astle and Zimbabwe's Andy Flower had earlier held the record with scores of 147 each.
Australia's Josh Inglis smashed a 77-ball century on a record-breaking night in Lahore to go level with former India opener Virender Sehwag for the quickest ton in the tournament history at the start of Champions Trophy 2025.
South Africa's David Miller, however, broke that record in the high-scoring semi-final against New Zealand with an unbeaten century off just 67 balls in a losing cause at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
England's Joe Root scored a record-breaking ton in the same match in which Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran set the record for highest individual score. Root's ton was the 11th in the tournament, surpassing the previous best of 10 in 2002 and 2017 editions.
Later, Rachin Ravindra, who scored his second century of the tournament, added to the list along with compatriot Kane Williamson and South Africa's David Miller to take the overall tally to 14 hundreds in Champions Trophy 2025.
Star India batter Virat Kohli, who smashed a century against Pakistan in the recent edition, went past several greats to become the second highest run scorer in Champions Trophy history with 747 runs. Kohli is now only behind West Indies great Chris Gayle (791 runs), who sits on top of the run-scoring charts.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma went past former West Indies star Chris Gayle for most maximums in the ICC 50-over tournaments. The Hitman now has 68 sixes across World Cup and Champions Trophy events. His tally is 4 more than Gayle's 64.
With 84-run knock against Australia in the semi-final, Virat Kohli went past Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar to score most 50 plus scores in Champions Trophy history. Tendulkar held the record with 24 fifty plus scores, but Kohli breached that mark with a century and a fifty to get to 24 fifty+ scores.
At 36 year and 110 days old, Virat Kohli became the oldest centurion in Champions Trophy following an unbeaten ton against vs Pakistan in Dubai. South Africa's David Miller later became the second oldest player to achieve the triple figure score at 35 years and 268 days with an undefeated hundred against New Zealand.
