Hong Kong Sixes 2024 Results: India is yet to win in the ongoing Hong Kong Sixes 2024, having suffered defeats to UAE and Pakistan in the Group Stage before losing the bowl matches to England and New Zealand.
Robin Uthappa-led India, which opened the Hong Kong Sixes campaign with a defeat to Pakistan on Friday (November 1), could not turn the tide around after a narrow 1-run loss to UAE in their final group stage match.

Chasing 131 in need of a win to progress to the quarter-final, India needed 32 in the final over and all-rounder Stuart Binny tried his best to take the team over the line.
Binny struck a four on the first ball, the second one was a wide and then followed it with four maximums on the trot bringing the equation down to three needed off one. But eventually, he was run out on the final ball while trying for a second run. He scored 44 off 11.
Earlier, Robin Uthappa had also struck 43 off 10. UAE posted 130/5 in 6 overs, courtesy of Khalid Shah's 42 off 10 and Zahoor Khan's 37* off 11. This result pushed India into the Bowl round as UAE and Pakistan sealed quarterfinal spots from the group.
Later on Saturday (November 2), Uthappa & Co lost by 15 runs to England in their first Bowl match as Kedar Jadhav's late cameo of an unbeaten 48 off 15 balls went in vain during the run-chase of 121 in 6 overs.
Ravi Bopara hit 6 sixes in one over against Robin Uthappa. He ended up giving away 37 runs in total in that over. Both the batters notched up individual half-centuries before retiring as England got to 120/1 in 6 overs.
Bopara then dominated India with his bowling as he scalped two wickets in one over which also included the dismissal of Robin Uthappa for a first-ball zero. India could only manage to score 105/3 and lost the game by 15 runs.
The Men in Blue would have hoped to turn things around in the quest to at least reach the Bowl final when they faced New Zealand, who were also yet to win in the tournament. But the Blackcaps batted India out of the contest by posting 146 and defended the total by restricting the opponents for 102/2 in their 6 overs.
India will next face Oman on Sunday (November 3) in what could be their final match of the Hong Kong Sixes 2024 tournament. Oman will come into the game full of confidence, having beaten England by 67 runs, defending a total of 159.
