Vinod Kambli

Vinod Kambli currently receives Rs 30,000 per month from BCCI for his services to Indian cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar

The India legend Sachin Tendulkar, who has been an icon of the sport itself, gets Rs 70,000 per month as pension. The legend played 200 Tests for India and has 100 centuries across all formats of international cricket.

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh has played a significant role in India's World Cup win in 2011 and was one of best strikers of the cricket ball. The former India star gets Rs 60,000 as pension from BCCI per month.

Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar reportedly gets Rs 70,000 as pension from BCCI.

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni, the World Cup-winning captain of 2007 and 2011, also receives Rs 70,000 per month as pension from the apex body.

Anjum Chopra, Mithali Raj

Former India women captain Anjum Chopra currently receives a pension of Rs 52,500 per month from BCCI. Another former captain Mithali Raj also draws the same amount after her retirement from international cricket.

BCCI Pension Revamp in 2022

Under Sourav Ganguly's leadership, BCCI announced a hike in the pension programme. The pension amount was hiked significantly across all the tiers for both men's and women's cricketers. All the revised amounts are currently in effect since June 1, 2022.

Men's Players

Former First-Class Players:

Previous Amount: INR 15,000 per month

Revised Amount: INR 30,000 per month

Former Test Players (Lower Tier):

Previous Amount: INR 37,500 per month

Revised Amount: INR 60,000 per month

Former Test Players (Upper Tier):

Previous Amount: INR 50,000 per month

Revised Amount: INR 70,000 per month

Women's Players

Former Women International Players:

Previous Amount: INR 30,000 per month

Revised Amount: INR 52,500 per month

Women First-Class Players (Retired Before 2003):

Previous Amount: INR 22,500 per month

Revised Amount: INR 45,000 per month

BCCI introduced their first pension scheme back in 2012. Through the scheme, they paid a sum of Rs. 25 Lakh, Rs. 50 Lakh, Rs 1 Crore and Rs 2.5 Crore to the ex-India players who had played a minimum of 1-6 Tests, 7 - 24 Tests, 25-49 Tests and 50 Tests and above for India in their career.
