How T20 World Cup-bound ten Australia players have fared in IPL 2024?

As many as ten Australian players part of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad have featured in the ongoing IPL 2024. Therefore, their performances are not only being tracked by the fans of the IPL franchises they are representing, but also by everyone in Australia.

How key Australian players have performed in IPL 2024?

They have already announced their squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, and named all-rounder Mitchell Marsh the captain of the star-studded team. Ten out of the 15 players have participated in the IPL this year. A look at how they have fared.

Travis Head: The Australia opener is the leading run-scorer among Australians this year in IPL. After 11 matches, Head has scored 396 runs in nine matches at an average of 44 and a strike rate of 194.11. The left-hand batter has hit a hundred and three fifties.

Tim David: The Mumbai Indians batter has scored 241 runs in 11 matches at an average of 34.42 and a strike rate of 161.64. The hard-hitting batter is yet to hit a fifty.

David Warner: The Delhi Capitals opener isn't having a great season. He has scored 167 runs only in seven matches at an average of 23.85 and a strike rate of 135.77.

Cameron Green: Cameron Green has been a complete failure with the bat. The RCB star has scored 112 runs in nine matches at an average of 18.66 and a strike rate of 125.84. He has picked seven wickets in nine matches at an economy of 9.18.

Pat Cummins: The SRH captain has led his team beautifully. Pat Cummins has picked 12 wickets in 10 matches, and is the second-highest wicket-taker for his side. With the bat he has scored 42 runs at an average of 10.50 and a strike rate of 140.

Mitchell Starc: The left-arm pacer struggled big time in the tournament before roaring back to form with a four-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. He has picked 12 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 32.08 and an economy rate of 11.37.

Glenn Maxwell: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder is having a horrid IPL 2024 season. He has played eight matches to score 36 runs at an average of 5.14 and a strike rate of 97.29. He also missed a handful of games to refresh but got out for four runs on his return. He has picked five wickets with his spin bowling.

Marcus Stoinis: The Australian all-rounder was having an ordinary season before bouncing back with a match-winning hundred against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk. He has scored 352 runs in 11 matches at an average of 39.11 and a strike rate of 153.71. He has bowled 14 overs in IPL 2024 to pick four wickets.

Matthew Wade: The senior Australia wicketkeeper-batter hasn't got a lot of game time. He has played just one match to score four runs.

Mitchell Marsh: Australia T20I captain Mitchell Marsh was part of the Delhi Capitals squad, but he flew back home due to a hamstring niggle. He picked one wicket in four matches, and scored 61 runs at an average of 15.25.
