How to Avail ICC World Cup 2027 Tickets? Check Full Process as 15 Million Application Registered
The ICC ODI World Cup in 2027 is still almost a year away, but the demand for tickets is sky-high even months before the commencement.
The countdown to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 has already sparked extraordinary enthusiasm, with fans registering demand for more than 15 million tickets within just 12 days of the ballot opening.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Monday that it had received 4,423,417 ballot registrations covering 15,083,752 tickets for the tournament, which will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Supporters from 142 countries have expressed interest in attending the 14th edition of cricket's premier 50-over competition.
UK Leads Global Ticket Demand
The United Kingdom has emerged as the leading source of ticket applications, followed by South Africa, India, the United States and Australia. The latest figures highlight the tournament's international appeal, with demand rising sharply from one million ticket applications recorded last week to over 15 million in less than a fortnight.
ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta attributed the response to the stature of the World Cup, Africa's appeal as a host destination and promotional efforts by the governing body and its partners.
With a year remaining before the tournament, Gupta said the ICC was preparing extensive promotional campaigns, digital content and fan engagement activities to build excitement further.
How the World Cup Ticket Ballot Works
The ticket ballot will remain open until 23:59 Central Africa Time on November 21. Registration is free, and applicants are not required to make any payment during the process.
Fans can submit one entry per person for each match and register interest in multiple fixtures. The ballot is not first-come, first-served, meaning early registration does not improve an applicant's chances.
If applications exceed the available allocation for a match, successful applicants will be selected through a randomised process. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will receive communication via their registered email addresses. Selected fans will subsequently receive instructions on purchasing tickets.
