HPCA rattles JKCA in Senior Women Cricket

Jammu, Nov 21 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) today defeated Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) by six wickets in the North Zone Senior Women Cricket Tournament here today.

HPCA won the toss and opted to field first bundled out the host JKCA innings for 143 for nine in 50 overs.

Kounser Ali with 28 (4x4) and Shivani Gupta also with 28 runs (3x4) were the top scorers from JKCA side followed by skipper Roopali Slathia and Meenu Slathia with 16 (2x4) and 21 (1x4) runs respectively.

However, HPCA bowlers Pooja Sharma and Neena Choudhary claimed four and three wickets respectively while Tanu Bala took one.

Meanwhile, chasing the target, HPCA eves with six wickets in hand, outclassed JKCA.

Unbeaten Pooja Sharma, after her superb bowling performance, played an outstanding knock of 42 runs (3x4) followed by Anku Singh with second highest scorer of 33 runs (5x4).

Neena Choudhary, Rachna Natiyal and Shivani contributed 13, 13 and 11 runs respectively on the scoreboard.

For JKCA, Ankita, Neeru, Payal and Muzamil shared one wicket each.

JKCA would clash with Haryana, Delhi and Punjab in rest of their matches in the ongoing tournament.
