Adelaide, Feb 7: There is good news for Team India and its fans with just 7 days to go for ICC World Cup 2015. Paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar has declared himself fit and is ready to play the big tournament.
Bhuvneshwar was one of the 4 players (Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja the other three) who were to undergo fitness tests ahead of the World Cup, which starts on February 14. Today, the right-arm bowler has declared himself ready to play.
"I have fully recovered at the moment. The last three four days have been really good for me and I am ready to play," he was quoted as saying on BCCI's website on Saturday.
This will be Bhuvneshwar's first World Cup and he is one of the key players for India as they set out to defend the crown won four years ago at home.
India will officially launch their World Cup preparations tomorrow (February 8) when they face Australia in a warm-up match in Adelaide.
The tournament's opening game for India is against Pakistan at the same venue on February 15.
