'I prefer Instagram over Twitter': Why does MS Dhoni dislike X? What can fans learn from the CSK Stalwart?

Chennai Super Kings stalwart MS Dhoni has given his blatant thoughts on social media and has elaborated his dislike for popular social media X, formerly known as Twitter.

Dhoni is not a social media person like the other Indian cricketers or sportspersons. The former India captain was never that much active on social media. Although he has an account on X, and Instagram - he seldom gives an update on his life.

Why does MS Dhoni not Like Twitter?

And in a recent interview, Dhoni revealed the minimum social media policy in his life. While chatting with Dubai 103.8, the CSK supremo admitted that he prefers Instagram over Twitter. He also said that Twitter in India ignites controversy, the very reason he refrains himself from the platform.

"I prefer Instagram over Twitter, I believe that nothing good has happened over Twitter. Especially in India, there is always a controversy, someone will write something and turn it into a controversy. Why do I need to be there? You know it used to be 140 characters. You can not elaborate. Imagine me putting something over there, and then it is left up to the people to read it and interpret whatever they want to interpret," Dhoni was said in the podcast for Dubai 103.8 YouTube channel.

"So, I am like no-no that is not for me. Instagram, I still like it because I could put up a picture or a video and just leave it. That is also changing now. I still prefer Instagram, but not active on it because I feel fewer distractions are better. But in-between, on and off, I would put something for the fans so that they know this is where I am. Somewhere good, in good hands, doing what I like," he added.

What to Learn from MS Dhoni's Comments?

The fans, the wider audience probably have a huge learning from MS Dhoni's words. In the world of a sportsperson, controversy can't be a regular occurrence, but in India, controversy arises from everything.

Anything posted on any social media platform is interpreted in an unidirectional way and the opinionated mind reacts, which is then blindly followed by a plethora of people without even verifying or judging it on their own. Hence, a simple thing is sometimes amplified into a huge matter, which creates controversy.

Also the word limit on Twitter without any subscription makes a person constrict one's message and misunderstandings emerge from there. Dhoni addressed the matter perfectly and mentioned that he doesn't want to be in the vicinity of controversy.

Hence, the netizens, media personnel and others must take note of the Dhoni interview and verify any breakout news or potential controversial developments.
