ICC ODI Rankings: India opener Shubman Gill is just 10 rating points behind number one ranked ODI batter Babar Azam in the ICC latest rankings for batters. Gill now has a total of 847 rating points and is just 10 rating points behind Pakistan captain.
Shubman Gill scored 74 runs in the first ODI against Australia at his home ground in Mohali before smashing his sixth ODI hundred in the second ODI at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The 24-year-old has been rested for the third ODI and that means Babar Azam would continue to be the number one ranked ODI batter at the start of World Cup 2023.

Further, India duo Shreyas Iyer (up eight places to 30th) and KL Rahul (up six spots to 33rd) also made major gains in the latest ICC rankings for ODI batters. Shreyas Iyer scored a hundred in Indore and KL Rahul has continued his good form with back-to-back fifties in the series. Virat Kohli is occupying the ninth spot, while Rohit Sharma is behind Fakhar Zaman at 11th.
Mohammed Siraj continued to be the number one ranked ODI bowler despite being rested for the first two ODIs against Australia. Siraj holds an 11-point lead over Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood. Just 55 rating points separate the top 10 players on the ODI bowler rankings.
Australia spinner Adam Zampa moved up one place to seventh on the back of his three wickets from the opening two matches against India. Mohammed Shami picked a five-wicket haul in Mohali and jumped nine spots to 25th. Bangladesh quick Mustafizur Rahman picked five wickets in the ODI series against New Zealand to jump five spots to 23rd.
