The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is set to commence tentatively on October 5. The eight-week-long tournament will see 10 teams fight out for the biggest prize of ODI cricket in India.
England and New Zealand are set to play the opening match of the tournament in Ahmedabad, with the final on November 19 also being determined to play in the same city. And according to Cricbuzz, the venues for the upcoming World Cup has been already decided.

BCCI is yet to make an official announcement of the dates and the venues, but source close to the apex body of Indian cricket has already spilt the cities which will be hosting the prestigious tournament later this year.
According to reports, 12 Indian cities are set to get the hosting rights of the ICC ODI World Cup. They are Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Indore, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Raipur and Rajkot.
These cities are the designated venues of the tournament, with subject to changes if necessary. Out of these venues, only 6 venues (Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore) hosted matches in the previous ODI World Cup which was held in 2011.
Here are the stadiums which will be hosting the ICC World Cup 2023 in India-
Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai),Eden Gardens (Kolkata), Arun Jaitley Stadium (Delhi), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), M Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bangalore), Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Hyderabad), Barsapara Stadium (Guwahati), Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium (Raipur), Holkar Stadium (Indore), SPCA Stadium (Dharamshala) and SCA Stadium (Rajkot).
Mohali and Nagpur - two of the stadiums which hosted the World Cup matches in 2011, have missed out on matches in this edition.
With 12 venues this season, almost all of them are expected to witness one India match as the Men in Blue are set to play 9 group stage matches.
With Pakistan set to arrive in India to play the World Cup, the BCCI has arranged their matches in four venues. They are Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. BCCI chose South Indian cities to host their matches with special reference to Chennai, which has a reputation for peaceful crowds.
