The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is set to commence tentatively on October 5. The eight-week-long tournament will see 10 teams fight out for the biggest prize of ODI cricket in India.
England and New Zealand are set to play the opening match of the tournament in Ahmedabad, with the final on November 19 also being determined to play in the same city. And according to Cricbuzz, India will be playing arch-rivals Pakistan earlier in the tournament.

As per the report, the marquee clash between India and Pakistan will take place on October 15, which falls on a Sunday. BCCI is yet to release a full schedule of the tournament, but sources claim the match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Cricbuzz also claims the PCB has given a green signal to their team for travelling to India for the World Cup. PCB and BCCI - two neighbouring boards are still at odds with Asia Cup schedule issues.
With Pakistan set to arrive in India to play the World Cup, the BCCI has arranged their matches in four venues. They are Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. BCCI chose South Indian cities to host their matches with special reference to Chennai, which has a reputation for peaceful crowds.
PCB also are reported to be agreed to play in Ahmedabad, despite having previous dilemma to play at the venue.
