ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule has been released and there are some key matches to look forward to, including the India vs Pakistan clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India vs Pakistan will be the most anticipated match in the upcoming world cup as two arch-rivals only meet in ICC events or the Asia Cup due to the political tensions between the neighbouring nations.

The two former champions will meet in the Asia Cup before they face-off in the show-piece event, where India has owned Pakistan in the head-to-head battles, having won on all seven of their previous meetings against their arch-rivals.
The India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to take place at the world's largest cricket stadium - Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
The two sides will be involved in two matches before they clash in Ahmedabad. While India will take on Australia and Afghanistan in their opening matches, Pakistan will face the two qualifiers.
This will also be the second match that will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium after last editions finalists - Champions England and runners up New Zealand clash in the tournament opener on October 5.
1992 - India beat Pakistan by 43 runs in Sydney
1996 - India beat Pakistan by 39 runs in Bengaluru
1999 - India beat Pakistan by 47 runs in Manchester
2003 - India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets in Centurion
2011 - India beat Pakistan by 27 runs in Mohali (Semifinal)
2015 - India beat Pakistan by 76 runs in Adelaide
2019 - India beat Pakistan by 89 runs in Manchester
Until recently in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Pakistan had never beaten their arch-rivals India in a World Cup match. The neighbouring nations have been involved in some memorable matches over the years.
The arch-rivals could face each other at least two times, including their round robin fixture and potentially one of the semifinals or the final if they progress to the knockout stages.
India and Pakistan will be playing all the other seven teams as well in the round robin stage as the format is the same as the last edition. So, some serious matches are set to take place with Australia and England, starting as one of the favourites to reach the last four with India.
Two-time winners India will face record champions Australia in their tournament opener at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
