ICC Test Rankings: Bangladeshi Stars Mushfiqur Rahim & Litton Das See Massive Jumps After Dominant Performance Against Pakistan

Bangladesh's 2-0 sweep of Pakistan in Sylhet has triggered significant movement in the ICC Men's Test Batting Rankings and ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings, with standout performances also boosting the team's position to fifth in the ICC World Test Championship standings.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das, who both hit centuries in the second Test, have made the biggest batting gains in the ICC Men's Test Batting Rankings. Mushfiqur compiled scores of 23 and 137 in Sylhet, finishing the two-match series with 253 runs and the Player of the Series award.

Mushfiqur has climbed 10 places to 16th position in the ICC Men's Test Batting Rankings, while Litton, named Player of the Match for innings of 126 and 69, has jumped 14 spots to 24th, underlining Bangladesh's batting strength in this ICC World Test Championship contest.

Pakistan's batters also registered modest rises in the ICC Men's Test Batting Rankings despite the series loss. Captain Shan Masood and middle-order batter Salman Ali Agha recorded identical scores of 21 and 71 across the two innings of the second Test, taking Masood to 44th and Salman to 27th.

Bangladesh bowlers have enjoyed similar progress in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings. Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam has moved up two places to a career-best 11th after match figures of three for 67 and six for 120, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz gained two spots to reach 25th.

Fast bowler Nahid Rana, the ICC Player of the Month for April after a home ODI series win over New Zealand, carried that form into the Pakistan Tests, with five wickets in the second match pushing Rana from 64th to 54th, as Khurram Shahzad and Hasan Ali registered smaller bowling gains for Pakistan.
