ICC World Cup 2023: The England men's cricket team has been ever-present in the ICC ODI World Cup since it's inception in 1975, winning the coveted title once so far and will be attempting to land their second successive title in the upcoming show-piece tournament.
Team England led by Jos Buttler will battle nine other teams, including two time champions and hosts India, record champions Australia and former winners Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the upcoming edition of the 50-over World Cup.

In the 12 editions held so far, England has gone all the way to lift the title only once in 2019, while they also went close in 1979, 1987 and 1992 when they finished runners up. The England team has also reached the quarterfinal or super 8 stage in three other editions.
Over the 12 editions, we have seen different top performers for England like Ian Bell, David Gower, Ian Botham and many more greats, but it was the recent contributions from Joe Root and Jofra Archer that will remain in the fans' memory as it led to England's first-ever ODI World Cup win.
