ICC World Cup 2023: The Indian men's cricket team has been ever-present in the ICC ODI World Cup since it's inception in 1975, winning the coveted title twice so far and will be attempting to land their third title in the home show-piece tournament.
Team India led by Rohit Sharma will battle nine other teams, including record champions Australia, defending champions England and former winners Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the upcoming edition of the 50-over World Cup.

In the 12 editions held so far, India has gone all the way to lift the title in 1983 and 2011, while they also went close in 2003, but finished runners up. The Indian team has also reached the semifinal stage in four other editions.
Over the 12 editions, we have seen the top performers list being dominated by the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan. Current skipper Rohit Sharma and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah dominated the charts in the most latest edition in 2019.
