South Africa's opening batsman Quinton de Kock continued his form at the ICC World Cup 2023 with his second consecutive ton during their pool match against Australia at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday (October 12).
His latest innings of 109, after scoring 84-ball 100 against Sri Lanka makes him the second South African after AB de Villiers to score back-to-back century at the World Cup. The South African great, who retired from international cricket in 2018 achieved the feat in India as well during the 2011 World Cup.

Quinton de Kock scored his 19th ODI hundred while slamming it in 90 balls with eight fours and five sixes. The 30-year-old South African is familiar with the venue as he plays for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League for the last two seasons.
De Kock's innings ended in the 35th over to off-spinner Glenn Maxwell, who castled him following a failed reverse pull. Apart from the centurion, Aiden Markram scored a 44-ball 55 before skipper Temba Bavuma (35) played the role of anchor in the opening stand of 108 runs. The good start for South Africa, who were asked to bat first, allowed them to be on the track for a 300-plus total.
