ICC World Cup 2023: The South African men's cricket team made their ICC ODI World Cup debut in 1992, but have never managed to go past the semifinal. So, the Proteas will be looking to go all the way and lift their very first title in the upcoming show-piece tournament.
Temba Bavuma-led South Africa will battle nine other teams, including two time champions and hosts India, record champions Australia, defending champions England as well as former winners Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the 50-over World Cup in India.

In their eight appearance at the ODI World Cup so far, South Africa has managed to reach the semifinals in four editions and quarterfinals in two editions. The Proteas have also made group stage exits in two editions so far.
