ICC World Cup 2023: Team India made a wonderful gesture following their victory over Afghanistan on Wednesday (October 11) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as the team presented a signed jersey to long-serving dressing room attendant of the DDCA.
Vinod Kumar, who has served as a dressing room attendant for 40 years in Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), received the signed jersey from skipper Rohit Sharma and hometown's Virat Kohli.

In a video shared by BCCI, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid can be seen making the announcement in the dressing room after the match, and the team gifted Vindoji the jersey on the last day of his work.
"Vinod Kumar or Vinodji as he's fondly called at DDCA, was given a signed jersey by #TeamIndia for his service as dressing room attendant for 40 years. The little things that matter," BCCI posted along with the link to the video on X, formerly Twitter.
India have made a perfect start to their World Cup 2023, starting with a win against Australia followed by a dominating victory over Afghanistan in Delhi on Wednesday (October 11).
After Jasprit Bumrah's best figures in the ODI World Cup of 4 for 39 in 10 overs helped restrict Afghanistan to 272 on a flat tract, skipper Rohit smashed a record seventh World Cup hundred to power India to an 8-wicket win with 15 overs to spare.
Record-breaking Rohit played a 131-run knock which included five sixes which took his tally of international sixes to 556 which is the most by any player. Earlier, Chris Gayle held the record with 553 sixes.
Rohit also smashed the fastest century in the World Cup by an Indian surpassing former Indian captain Kapil Dev's 72-ball ton against Zimbabwe in 1983. His 7th ton in ODI CWC also saw him surpass Sachin Tendulkar for most hundreds in the show-piece tournament.
Rohit Sharma-led India will lock horns with Pakistan in the most anticipated match of the ODI World Cup at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
