India and Pakistan will clash in the Asia Cup 2023 on Saturday (September 2) at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka, but before that the fans got a chance to grab early bird tickets for the ICC World Cup 2023 warm up matches on Tuesday (August 29).
India will meet England on September 30 in Guwahati followed by Netherlands on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram, for which tickets went on sale through an online platform and app - BookMyShow.

While some lucky fans were able to book their tickets for the match, many faced issues as the BookMyShow app crashed, and they vented their frustration on social media, having missed out on the chance to get tickets for India's warm up matches.
The World Cup ticket sale has been done in a phased manner to avoid large traffic on the BookMyShow app and website, the official ticketing partner. However, the fans' worst fears came true when the early-bird tickets sale for India's matches (warm-up and main round) went live on Tuesday, August 29.
Within minutes of the early bird ticket sale going live at 6 PM IST, the fans started experiencing issues. A few couldn't open th app itself, while some who got access to the ticketing window, had to wait for hours, only to find out that the tickets for particular matches were sold out.
In reaction, the fans slammed the BCCI and BookMyShow with one of the fans threatening to take the ticketing partner to court by sharing a video of his 5-6 failed attempts of booking tickets, which showed available at the time of booking but it showed error again and again at checkout.
There were many such cases, which BCCI and booking partner BookMyShow will hope to sort before the main round tickets go on sale from Thursday (August 31). They will be hopeful to have the issue sorted soon as fans will be eager to watch India vs Pakistan on October 14, for which tickets go on sale on Sunday (September 3).
Here are some of the reactions from the fans on social media platform X after they failed to get a hold of tickets for India's warm up matches on Tuesday (August 29) and Wednesday (August 30).
