Iceland Cricket on Tuesday brutally roasted England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the struggle at the World Cup 2023 in India. The defending champions England are at the bottom of the World Cup 2023 table after losing five of their six matches. They have lost each of their last four matches.
England now also stands the risk of not qualifying for the ICC Champions Trophy 2023. Notably, hosts Pakistan and the top seven teams at the World Cup 2023 will qualify for the mega ICC event.

The Job Buttler-led England are scheduled to face Australia, Netherlands and Pakistan in their last three matches at the World Cup 2023. Ninth-placed Bangladesh have also lost five of their six matches. Netherlands are eighth with two wins in six matches.
Mocking England cricket team, Iceland Cricket have offered to play a three-match warm-up series to help the Three Lions to prepare for the 'Champions Trophy qualifiers'. Iceland also suggested England send their main team for the proposed series. They have pointed out how the second-string England side played against Iceland just ahead of the World Cup 2023.
"Dear @ECB_cricket, We have noticed your recent problems on the pitch. We wish to extend to you a public offer to play a three match warm-up series in Reykjavík in advance of your participation in the Champions Trophy qualifiers in 2024," Iceland Cricket's statement said.
"Unlike versus our Irish cousins recently, against whom you played your B/C team as a warm-up for the Cricket World Cup, we hope that you would bring your A-team. We are a rapidly developing cricketing nation who, although still small, have ambitions to win the World Cup (of salmon fishing) in the 2060s," it added.
"We look forward to hearing from you. Yours comically, Icelandic Cricket Association," Icelandic Cricket wrote to end their hilarious statement to ECB.
Iceland don't have an ICC membership yet. They played their first, unofficial, international matches in July 2018 during a tour to England, when they faced Switzerland at Weybridge in Surrey
