ICL announces team composition for 'ICL 20's World Series'

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) The Indian Cricket League (ICL) today announced its team composition for the World series involving ICL India, ICL Pakistan, ICL World and ICL Bangladesh that kick starts from November 23 at Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Inzaman-ul-Haq will lead the formidable ICL Pakistan team, Chris Harris will captain a galaxy of international stalwarts representing ICL World, Habibul Bashar will lead the ICL Bangladesh and Rajagopal Sathish is the skipper of ICL India.

The tournament offers a total prize money of Rs 2.74 crores.

Winners of this tournament stand to gain Rs 1.25 crore while the runner-up will cash in Rs 75 lakh.

The financial incentive for every win at the league stage will be a handsome Rs 10 lakh while the Man of the Match will be richer by Rs 2 lakh.

''The level of cricket at ICL is on an ascendancy mode. In the ongoing ICL 20-20 Championship, we saw our boys come out with stand-out performances, which shaped the results of some high standard cricket matches,''ICL chairman Kapil Dev said in a press release.

''With ICL World Series, our promising domestic boys will face the toughest challenge of proving their cricketing credentials against three of the mightiest teams in the world. These Indian players will be selected after a thorough selection process by the Executive Board along with the Selection committee, based on their growth as cricketers and respective individual performance,'' he added.
