ICL's domestic championship from tomorrow

Chennai, Jan 26 (UNI) The Indian Cricket League -ICL- bandwagon is back at the 'Mayajaal' sports complex and six teams minus the foreign players will be playing a 50 overs a side ODI championship here from tomorrow.

According to one of the co-ordinators, former Mumbai cricketer Milind Rege, Chandigarh Lions will take on Chennai Superstars, the winners of the inaugural international league which was held in Chandigarh in December.

The other teams in fray would be Hyderabad Heroes, Mumbai Champions, Delhi Jets and Kolkata Tigers.

''This is a 50x fifty championship for domestic players only and the matches will be played to international ODI rules'', Mr Rege added.

A meeting of the umpires for the championship was held today to finalise the rules and the playing conditions, Mr Rege added.
