International League T20 - ILT20 returns for it's third season, starting with the league phase from Saturday (January 11), when defending champions MI Emirates take on Dubai Capitals in a rematch from last season's finale at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Apart from MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Gulf Giants and Sharjah Warriors will be the other four teams competing in the 20-over tournament organized by the Emirates Cricket Board.

All the six teams will play against each other in double-round robin format with the top four heading into the knockouts or the playoffs, which will be played in IPL-like format.
In ILT20 Playoffs, the top two teams will play the Qualifier 1, while the teams ranked third and fourth will meet in the Eliminator. The winner of the Qualifier 1 will earn direct entry to the final, while the loser will play the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2 for the place in the title clash.
The league phase, which begins on January 11, will conclude on February 3 before the playoffs get underway from February 5 with the final set to be staged in the same weekend, on a Sunday, February 9.
All 34 matches will be played across three venues in three different cities - Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The Dubai venue will play host to two playoff matches - Qualifier 1 and final, while Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will host the Qualifier 2 and Eliminator respectively.
