New Delhi, Mar 10: All-rounder Irfan Pathan entered "the most beautiful phase" of his life after marrying Safa Baig in Saudi Arabia. The 31-year-old Irfan began a new innings in life on February 4 as he married Safa, a 21-year-old model based in Saudi Arabia.

After marriage, now, Irfan Pathan hosted a grand wedding reception in Vadodara on Tuesday evening.

According to a TOI report, "Just before he entered the venue in a kurta pyjama, he told the daily, "Miya-biwi ka rishta bahut hi khoobsurat hota hai and it feels fantastic to start this new innings of my life. Uparwale ka bada ehsaan hai and I, Safa and all our family members are very happy today.

I am also thankful that my friends, cricketers with whom I have played, seniors (a reference to VVS Laxman) and well-wishers from outside the cricket fraternity and even abroad have come to my hometown to bless us on this day. I couldn't have asked for more and with all their blessings, I am sure that we will have a great journey ahead."
