India women's injury update, key players vs Ireland women

There's no reported injuries leading into the match for Team India as India will head into the game with all their might. Opener Shafali Verma and skipper Harmanpreet Singh, however, are struggling to find consistency in their performances as the duo scored in single-digits against England despite finding some form with 30-odd innings a match ago.

Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, meanwhile, returned to form with a half-century against England for a losing cause. Jemimah Rodrigues's form dipped since her match-winning fifty against Pakistan with two poor outings.

Richa Ghosh, however, at No.5 has been a joy to watch with yet another 34-ball 47 not out. The in-form big-hitter is yet to be out at the Women's T20 World Cup 2023 with score sequence of 44*, 31*, and 91*.

Among Indian bowlers, Renuka Singh finally got herself going with a career-best of 5/15 against England. However, lacked a bit of support from the other end as an-inform Deepti Sharma could only take one wicket while conceding 37 runs. Deepti's wicket-taking form remains unquestionable with 5 wickets in three games.

Radha Yadav, on the other hand, is now struggling to be among wickets just two dismissals away from her 100th T20 wicket as she went wicket-less in two games since picking as many wickets against Pakistan.

Pacer Pooja Vastrakar had a poor outing as she gave away 24 runs in two overs while Shikha Pandey was effective with the new ball as she took 1/20 in four overs.

Ireland too don't have any injuries reported ahead of the match but it's merely a formality for the side, which has been a bogey team this tournament with three losses on the trot.

Orla Prendergast finally delivered after another good start as she scored 61 against West Indies for a losing cause. She has played many 25-odd innings in the recent past but failed to turn them into big knocks.

As far as the openers are concerned, Gaby Lewis remained consistent with a knock of 38 and has been key to Ireland's innings build-up. Her partner Amy Hunter, however, continued with her poor form and could be rested for the game.

Skipper Laura Delany's form dropped further with a solitary run to her name while Eimear Richardson scored an unconvincing 19-ball 15 after her cameo down the order a game ago.

Irish bowling was rendered ineffective against the Windies with just two bowlers picking wickets in Leah Paul and skipper Delany. New-ball bowlers Jane Maguire and Pendergast have not been able to pick wickets in the powerplay, making for a weak bowling outfit.

Arlene Kelly went without a wicket as her wicket-taking run of four wickets in the last three games ended. Cara Murray was a disappointment too as she gave away 11 runs in the sole over she bowled after taking three wickets against England. Murray, however, could be a threat to England's batting as she returned to the venue where she picked those three wickets.

IN-W vs IR-W pitch report India vs Ireland women's

A fresh pitch was used in the last game played at the venue with the overcast conditions often helping bowlers get something out of the surface. For batters, square boundaries are shorter and longer on the long-on and -off region. Anything above 150, however, appears to be a safe target on the ground
