India A will face Afghanistan A in the second semi-final of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 on Friday, October 25, at the Al Amerat stadium in Oman.

India A have been the best team by far in the ongoing tournament, maintaining a three-match win streak in the group stages. The young side, led by Tilak Varma, defeated defending champions Pakistan A en route to the semi-final and would like to continue that momentum against Afghanistan A.

In the ongoing Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, India A have won all three of their group games. The Men in Blue started their campaign by defeating Pakistan A by seven runs, followed by wins over the UAE (seven wickets) and Oman (six wickets).

Before that, India A took part in the prestigious Duleep Trophy, where they defeated India D and India C in the last two matches.

Afghanistan A Last Five Matches

Afghanistan A started their Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 journey in the perfect way, winning their first two matches against Sri Lanka A and Bangladesh A by 11 runs and four wickets respectively. However, a shock five-wicket loss against Hong Kong ruined their perfect run.

Earlier in May, Afghanistan A played an away series against Sri Lanka A. The Afghan team won the last two ODI matches, but lost the Test match by an innings and 26 runs.
