India A has suffered a gigantic batting collapse in the 1st unofficial Test against Australia A on Thursday (October 31).
At the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay, Brendan Doggett, a fast bowler from South Australia, achieved his career-best figures of 6-15, playing a crucial role in dismantling India A's batting lineup.

India A faced a challenging start after Nathan McSweeney decided to field first. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for a golden duck, and vice-captain Abhimanyu Easwaran managed only seven runs. Both wickets were claimed by Jordan Buckingham.
Devdutt Padikkal was the highest scorer for India with 36 runs, whereas Sai Sudharsan scored 21 runs. But after the brief resistance, India's batting fell again as Baba Indrajith (9), Ishan Kishan (4) and Nitish Reddy (0) all fell cheaply, leaving India to lose six wickets for just 15 runs, tottering at 86 for 9.
Navdeep Saini provided some resistance with two fours and a six in his innings of 23 runs. He added 21 runs for the last wicket with Mukesh Kumar but the India A team got bundled out for just 107 runs.
Sai Sudharsan, Padikkal, and Saini were the only batsmen to reach double figures in this innings. Brendan Doggett took six wickets for the Australia A side.
In response, India A bowlers have started well. Australia A are currently 27 for 3 as pacers Mukesh Kumar and Prasidh Krishna have provided early breakthroughs.
Prasidh Krishna got the crucial wickets of Marcus Harris and Cameron Bancroft, whereas Mukesh dismissed Sam Konstas.
