IND U19 vs NZ U19 Match Result: The ICC U19 World Cup 2024 Super Six Round Group 1 match between India and New Zealand resulted in India's convincing win by 214 runs at the Mangaung Oval pitch in Bloemfontein (South Africa) on Tuesday (January 24).

Man-of-the-match Musheer Khan scored 131 runs before Saumy Pandey (4/19) and Raj Limbani (2/17) broke the backbone of New Zealand's batting while defending a decent total of 295/8. New Zealand could only put up 81 all out (28.1 overs) at the end.

After winning the toss, New Zealand invited India to set the target. Team India grabbed this opportunity with both hands. India's decent total was not just down to Musheer Khan's century as Adarsh Singh laid the foundation with his fifty up front. Mason Clarke (4/62) picked up the most wickets among the New Zealand bowlers.

India always looked in control of the game from the very first ball of the match. They were comfortably scoring almost at the rate of six runs per over till the 20th over with the mere loss of two wickets. After the arrival of spinners, the run rate slowed down a bit. However, New Zealand were never able to pick up wickets at regular intervals. Hence, Indian batters were able to pull off a formidable target at the end.

In response, New Zealand couldn't have asked for the worst possible start. They lost two wickets in the very first over without scoring anything. After 10 overs, they were four wickets down with just 27 runs on the board. New Zealand were never in the game, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Indian bowlers ran through New Zealand's batting lineup. Everyone -- including Musheer (2/10), Naman Tiwari (1/19), Arshin Kulkarni (1/13) -- ended up in the wickets column from the Indian bowling lineup. Facing no resistance at all, Team India handed over New Zealand a morale-sapping loss.
