IND vs AFG: Playing cricket in a chilly weather condition is not an easy task, and taking a catch in the in-field is an even more difficult task. As temperature dropped in Mohali, the India players found it really difficult to keep themselves warm in the middle.
There were a bit of fumbles in the field early on, and the commentators straightaway blamed it on the cold weather and the temperature which was hovering around nine degree celsius.

However, captain Rohit Sharma soon set an example by taking a catch at cover. Even though it looked like a regulation catch, it had a stinging impact on Rohit Sharma's hand due to the low temperature.
Immediately after the catch, Team India physio ran in with a hot water bag for Rohit Sharma. The 36-year-old, who was making his T20I comeback after a gap of 14 months, was seen wincing in pain while using the hot water bag on his hands. Rohit Sharma was also seen using hand warmers later.
BCCI also released a video ahead of the match. In the video, Axar Patel can be seen enquiring about the temperature, while Rinku Singh could be heard talking about the contrasting weather in Kerala and Punjab. Rinku called Mohali weather conditions "too cold".
Washington Sundar, Tilak Varma and Axar Patel also talked about not witnessing this much of cold in their hometowns back in Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, respectively. The whole of North India is witnessing a cold wave in the ongoing winter season.
"Playing cricket in this weather will be a challenge, but the enjoyment will be really good," Shivam Dube said.
India will travel to Indore and Bengaluru for the upcoming T20Is and find great relief from the weather point of view.
