Rohit Sharma became the first man on the planet to hit five T20I hundreds on Wednesday, January 17. He achieved the feat against Afghanistan in the third T20I at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Truly leading from the front, Rohit Sharma lifted India from 22/4 in 4.3 overs to 212/4 in 20 overs with his unbeaten 121-run knock off 69 deliveries. The innings consisted of 11 fours and as many as eight sixes.

Rohit Sharma returned to T20I cricket after a gap of 14 months with the series but got out for ducks in the first and second T20I. However, he compensated with a brilliant 121 unbeaten runs off 69 balls in the third match. It's the fourth-highest T20I score by an Indian batter in T20I cricket.
This was the first instance of Rohit Sharma hitting a T20I in over five years. The 36-year-old last hit a T20I fifty back in November 2018 against West Indies in Lucknow.
Rohit Sharma hit his first T20I fifty against South Africa in Dharamsala on October 2, 2015. He scored 106 runs off 66 balls (12 fours and five sixes) but India lost the match by seven wickets and two balls remaining.
The second T20I century came against Sri Lanka in Indore on December 22, 2017. Rohit Sharma smashed 118 runs off just 43 balls. He smashed 12 fours and 10 sixes as India piled up 260 runs on the board and thrashed Sri Lanka by 88 runs.
Rohit Sharma's third T20I hundred came against England in Bristol on July 8, 2018. This is Rohit's only overseas T20I hundred till date. His unbeaten 100-run knock off 56 balls (11 fours and five sixes) helped India chase down a 199-run target with eight balls to spare.
'The Hitman' smashed his fourth T20I hundred on November 6, 2018 against West Indies in Lucknow. He smashed unbeaten 111 runs off 61 balls (eight fours and seven sixes) this time around. India ended up winning the match by 71 runs.
