IND vs AFG, T20 World Cup: Kuldeep Yadav comes in for Mohammed Siraj - Fans ask serious question after India Playing XI Selection

India is up against Afghanistan in their first Super 8 game today (June 20). The Indian team is locking horns against their Asian rivals in Barbados.

India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. At the Toss, Rohit Sharma also announced that India has made a solitary change to their side.

After sticking with the same team in the entire group stage, team India has made their first personnel change against Afghanistan. Left arm Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav has come in replacing pacer Mohammed Siraj.

"We are going to bat first. Looks alright at this moment, looks like a good track. No grass on the pitch, I guess it will get slower. It's better than New York. We have to adapt to the conditions quickly. We have been here for a couple of days, we have played a lot of cricket. It's about understanding what we need to do in conditions like these. It's an early start. Usually starts in the evening elsewhere. We enjoy playing here. We have made one change, Kuldeep comes in for Siraj," Rohit said at Toss.

The inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav was on the cards, but Siraj's exclusion is something which may have come as a surprise to a few. But more so, fans are unable to recollect the previous time when India had so many left-handed players in the team.

Along with Kuldeep, the likes of Shivam Dube, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel are also left-handers, which makes it a total of 6 players in the playing XI as southpaws.

This user says Kuldeep Yadav should have replaced Ravindra Jadeja, rather than Mohammed Siraj.
