IND vs AFG: In unlikely scenes at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, India lost four wickets inside the first five overs after electing to bat first against Afghanistan in the third and final T20I on Wednesday, January 17.
Virat Kohli got out for a golden duck as fans at Chinnaswamy, the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for whom the star batter plays, were left heartbroken.

Even before they could recover from the shock Shivam Dube got out for one off six balls on the final ball of the fourth over. The fourth blow for India came in the form of Sanju Samson who also got out for a golden duck. The wicket of Samson left India reeling at 22/4.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who blasted 68 runs off 34 balls in the second T20I, was the first one to go. Jaiswal (4 off 6) was dismissed by Fareed Ahmed who dismissed Kohli on the very next delivery of the third over. The left-arm pacer also picked the wicket of Samson.
Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru has traditionally been known as a batting paradise and the collapse of the fame Indian batting unit baffled the fans who took to social media platform to express their disappointment.
Virat Kohli returned to T20I cricket after 430 days in the second T20I where he scored 29 runs off 16 balls. Samson, on the other hand, was making a T20I comeback for the first time after August 2023.
India have already won the series after taking an unassailable 2-0 in the three-match T20I series. Notably, the match in Bengaluru is India's last T20I assignment before heading into the T20 World Cup 2024 which starts from June 1.
