IND vs AFG, World Cup 2023: Who took part in India training session ahead of Afghanistan Clash?

Team India will play their second match of the ICC World Cup 2023 on Wednesday (October 11) against Afghanistan.

The Men in Blue will lock horns against the Afghans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi and are aiming for a victory.

Rohit Sharma joins India Net Session, Virat skips

And ahead of their match on Wednesday, the Indian team scheduled an optional training session on Tuesday (October 10). Due to the match tomorrow, most of the players decided to skip the session but Indian captain Rohit Sharma took part in it.

The Indian captain was captured doing a bit of batting and also had a look at the Delhi pitch for a while. Rohit got dismissed for a duck against Australia and will be looking to make amends against Afghanistan on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli was absent in the optional training. The batting maestro scored a brilliant 85 in the victory over Australia, and decided to take rest before the clash tomorrow. KL Rahul was also not seen in the training.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas, Jadeja, Shardul join Net Session

Shreyas Iyer was seen training on Tuesday. The Indian batter also scored a duck against Australia and was seen putting the extra hours in training. Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur were also among the players who joined for the session.

Ishan Kishan played the last match against Australia and is poised to play against Afghanistan as well, especially after the absence of Shubman Gill. The southpaw was seen kicking a football after the training session. Suryakumar Yadav was also captured in an intense batting session.

India are banked to make it two out of two at the Capital and it will be pivotal for them, as the next clash is the high-voltage one against arch-rivals Pakistan.
