IND vs AUS 1st Test Playing XI: India is up against Australia in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
Jasprit Bumrah is leading the Indian side in the first match in the absence of Rohit Sharma. The high-octane match is set to be crucial for both teams, who are in contention for the World Test Championship Final.

India captain Jasprit Bumrah won the Toss and decided to Bat first.
"Looks like a good wicket. For our batters and our team [the WACA] was a great experience. We played a Test here in 2018 so we know what to expect. Very confident with our preparation. The wicket gets quicker after the first session," said India captain Jasprit Bumrah at the Toss.
Australia captain Pat Cummins also spoke highly about their preparations and said they are ready for the India challenge.
India has handed a debut to Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the match. Harshit has been impressive in recent months and was excellent in the simulation match at the WACA. Also, Nitish Reddy's inclusion brings stability in the middle order with an added pace option. Devdutt Padikkal has replaced injured Shubman Gill while KL Rahul is set to replace Rohit Sharma.
Nathan McSweeney is set to play his first match for Australia as well. The Aussies have gone with three pacers and Nathan Lyon is the solitary spin option.
