IND vs AUS 2nd Test Timings: India is set to lock horns with Australia in the 2nd Test at the Adelaide Oval, which will start on Friday (December 6).
The match will be a Day-Night Test and will be played with a Pink Ball. After winning the first Test in Perth, this will be a major test for the Indian team.
India captain Rohit Sharma is also set to be reinstated in the team. He missed out the first match for the birth of his second child, but is coming back straight into the side. KL Rahul is likely to keep his place as well while Devdutt Padikkal may have to make his way out of the side.
As the Day-Night Test arrives, the timings of the match will be different. The Indian fans are generally used to an early rise to watch the Test matches in Australia, but Adelaide match will allow a couple of hours of extra sleep.
The match will start at 2:30 pm local time in Adelaide on Friday, and it will continue till 9:30 pm local time. Also, an additional 30 minutes can be used to accommodate the daily number of overs.
**All Timings are in IST
The match begins at 9:30 am local time, kicking off with the first session of play. The early hours under natural light allow batters to settle in, while bowlers use the pitch's freshness to create opportunities.
Following the conclusion of the first session, players break for Tea at 11:30 am. This will be a 40-minute interval, in contrast to a 20-minute interval for Tea during day Test matches.
The second session resumes at 12:10 pm and runs until 2:10 pm in India. During this time, the game transitions as natural light starts to fade, and fielding teams look to exploit the conditions before the lights fully take effect.
A 20-minute Dinner interval follows the second session, offering players a short respite before the final phase of play begins.
The third session will be starting at 2:30 pm IST. Under the floodlights, the pink ball tends to swing and seam more, making it a crucial period for bowlers. An added 30 minutes can extend it up to 5 pm IST.
Hence, it will be more of an experience of a home Test match for the Indian fans as Rohit Sharma and troops take the field in Adelaide.
